Ted Billups

tedAs co-founder and managing partner of his web development consultancy in Chicago, Billups Design, Ted Billups has successfully built long-standing client relationships with Fortune 500 companies by championing interactive design approaches that marry usability best-practices ‘as a vital customer service’ with interface and content design that engages customers and communicates value.

Mr. Billups has more than thirteen years of experience as an online brand manager, web designer and creative director for agencies like Turner Broadcasting, Web Design Group, Inc. and Divine, Inc. He has headed creative and technology teams managing such brands as Virgin Records, Coca-Cola, Mark Shale, Nike, United Airlines, Gannett, CNN, Parlano Software, NASA, and Hyatt Worldwide.

Mr. Billups is well recognized in the Chicago design community and is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Artists (AIGA). He has also served on the Junior Board of Directors at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is currently a member of The Chicago Bar Foundation Board of Advisors.

In 2007, he partnered with a small group of developers to create Meer Meer, a revolutionary web site testing tool for web developers that was later purchased by Adobe Systems and rolled out as part of the new CS4 Dreamweaver in 2009. Ted contributed functional concepting, information architecture, branding, interface design and front-end development.
